Buses
Greater Manchester has an extensive bus network operated by various commercial operators.
All GMPTE information is comprehensive and impartial; provided independently to any of these companies. A list of these commercial operators can be found via the links on the left of this page, should you wish to contact them direct.
Many buses start their journey or pass through a GMPTE operated bus station. If you are using one of our bus stations, look at the 'Bus Station Departures' link where you will find a list of the services using the bus station, together with a bus station plan showing the stands used by these buses.
Timetables are available for all bus services running in Greater Manchester and can be obtained from local Travelshops, by post from GMPTE, ring 0871 200 22 33 (calls cost 10p per minute from landlines), or through the Journey Planner.
