New Sunday services on the Atherton rail line
From 23 May Sunday a new train service will run every hour between Wigan and Manchester via Atherton, in both directions.
The new service is ideal for shopping, days out, visiting friends... anything you want to do on a Sunday.
Sunday train tickets are off-peak fares so they cost you less. You can choose bargain single and return fares or a £4.00 Rail Ranger which lets you travel anywhere in Greater Manchester by train. Look how much a return adult fare to Manchester costs from your station on Sundays.

Accompanied children under 5 travel for free. Children under 16 travel half fare and children travelling with an adult may get a further Accompanied Child reduced fare on Sundays and other off peak times.
